Vidu is an AI creative studio that turns text prompts and photos into images, video, and 3D — plus avatars, photo enhancement, and more. Its standout capabilities are image/text-to-video generation and custom AI model training, wrapped in a one-tap experience and localized into 15 languages. Mobizio designed, built, and shipped it across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
The Challenge
Generative media is the hardest, most expensive corner of consumer AI: image-to-video and custom model training are compute-heavy, quality-sensitive, and slow if done naïvely. The goal was to make all of it feel effortless for everyday creators — no technical skill, fast results — while keeping output quality high and per-generation cost sustainable, across 15 languages and three Apple platforms.

The Engineering
The hard part of a product like Vidu isn't a single generation — it's orchestrating many generative models reliably and affordably. Vidu brings text-to-image, image- and text-to-video, 3D synthesis, and a custom model-training pipeline together behind a backend that has to manage job queuing, GPU cost, latency, retries, and output quality — all at once, across 15 languages and three Apple platforms. Custom model training inside a consumer app is a notably advanced capability: it means handling user datasets, training jobs, and inference at consumer price points, without the experience ever feeling technical.
